This is where I come to participate in the broader conversation about film and cinema. I am an avocationist with no formal background in either journalism or film studies. My educational background is in English and Literature, so my approach to film is generally filtered through fading memories of literary criticism. I do make every effort to disclose what needs to be disclosed and write as honestly as I am able. As a resident of the western suburbs of Chicago I do like to promote local films. Whenever asked what my all-time favorite movie is, my most frequent answer is Monte Hellman’s Two-Lane Blacktop.
Things I’ve done for money.
