Screen Capture of the Day: Saboteur

Yes, I know that the Statue of Liberty was not built until almost 10 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, but today’s image of the day comes from Alfred Hitchcock’s Saboteur (1942) showing Robert Cummings trying to save Norman Lloyd, the one man who can clear his name, from falling to his death. A movie where suspicion and hysteria win out against due process in the name of national security…it’s a wonder this hasn’t been tapped for a remake yet.
